I DID IT!!
I got my tragus pierced. :)
Melissa and I went to price piercings at Caspian’s today (my industrial and tragus, her nose) with a group of friends. I had the money for one of the two, so I went for it.
It. Was. Awesome.
Most of my other piercings (2 more pairs of lobes and a helix/cartilage) were done with a gun at a jewelry store (similar to Claire’s) in Malaysia, and that was the only option.
Apparently the gun technique is frowned upon in piercing salons here in the United States, so my tragus was done via needle. While piercing with a gun is faster, it hurts more. With a needle, it was slower (but by slow, I mean, a minute MAX), and less painful. I felt the needle enter, heard my cartilage pop, she put the jewelry in, and it was over. My piercer was awesome, too. She talked me through what she was doing, answered any stupid questions I had, and was super sweet about everything. (her name was Nycole, for anyone who knows or is going to use Caspian’s)
I’m DEFINITELY going back to get my industrial done. Super clean, super friendly, super helpful. A bit on the pricier side ($45 for tragus, and $65 for industrial), but it’s definitely worth it. They also sell aftercare saline solutions and swabs and stuff.
OMG AND I LOVE MY PIERCING. (it just hurts to smile, cause it moves the piercing haha) I got a barbell labret with a black gem on the front. I don’t know if I’ll switch it out when it heals, but it’ll take a few months so I have time to decide.
Pictures to come later, when I have time to clean out my camera. :)
